Playlist Live Orlando 2017!!!

So far, the best part of my year has got to be the first weekend of May! I owe that to Playlist Live Orlando! For those of you who don't know what that is, Playlist Live is a convention where YouTubers and people who love YouTubers gather and enjoy everything the weekend has to offer. Parties, meet ups, panels, and tons more! It's basically one gigantic party! This was my first year attending and I have to say that I had an absolute BLAST! I flew in from Chicago and met my best friend there and also met another mutual friend of ours who flew in from New York. We shared a hotel room in the massive, beautiful hotel where the event was held for the weekend! It was very convenient! We arrived on Thursday afternoon! On that first day nothing was really happening, so if memory serves, I believe the three of us settled into our room, we explored and found places to eat. The excitement wasn't to begin until Friday, the next day!

Friday morning we got up and were excited about going to pick up our badges and our wristbands for our meet ups for Saturday and Sunday! Mine were Dan and Phil for Saturday and Charles Trippy and Allie for Sunday! AAAHHHH!! You'll see more of that later in the blog! Once we had our badges, we understood that we had to wear them whenever we were to leave our hotel room so that we could get into designated areas run by Playlist Live. Next, it was time for panels! I only attended one, and it was about Brands and Online video. It was very interesting to learn about. Afterwards, we walked around a bit more and explored even MORE, if that's possible! We hit the pool as well and I went down the massive water slide they had! By the time evening came, it was time for the Kickoff Party, hosted by Dan and Phil themselves!! It was such a great show and FUNNY! 

Now, Friday night... UGH. Why "UGH"? Because the hotel staff, for whatever reason, decided to leave us an inflatable mattress to use in our room. How nice, right? I decided to take one for the team and blow this thing up and use it, give my bestie the bed for herself and our other friend the other bed like she had been doing the night before. What could go wrong, right? Well, let me tell you. The inflatable mattress decided to deflate in the middle of the night and tried to take me with it, that's what went wrong! HAHA! By the time the sun was barely up, I was wide awake, over it, sore, and decided to just start my day. It was Saturday! The day of the first meet up! It was also the first day that everything started to get REALLY crazy! When we were all awake and ready to go, off we went to see what we could see! We started seeing all kinds of YouTubers all of a sudden! I met Tay Zonday, Chai Cameron, and Niki and Sammy almost all at once! We also tuned into a panel with Dan and Phil in it before it was time to go to their meet up!

When it was time to go to the Dan and Phil meet up, I was so excited because my bestie and our other friend had also gotten the same meet up so we were all going to the same one! We all share the same passion for Dan and Phil! We showed our wrist bands to the security guy and were led into the small room where we were instructed to sit down and wait for the guys to arrive. You could cut the tension with a knife in that room! You could tell everyone in the room was excited, nervous, scared, terrified, just about every single emotion at once basically. When it was just about time, the room fell dead silent and all eyes fell on the door, waiting for it to open and for the guys to walk in. When that moment happened, the room literally ERUPTED in screams, cheers, and tears! It was incredible! The meet ups had begun! When it was my turn and I had made myself up to them, I was completely taken aback by how GIGANTIC they are! To be specific, I am 5'2, Dan is 6'3 and Phil is 6'2. I gave them each a hug and they signed their plushies that I brought for them to sign, which are now sitting proudly on my bedroom shelf! Then I handed Dan my phone and asked if he'd take our picture and he said in his lovely British accent "It would be my distinct honor" and I swear I forgot how to think, speak, and apparently hold my head up because in our photo I'm not looking at the camera. But you had better believe that I took that moment to snuggle up to Phil. Then I ask for one more hug from both of them, and it was over! It all happened so fast, but it was amazing!

The rest of Saturday was pretty great! After the meet up we went to the food truck and had some incredible fish and chips! Then it was more exploring and off to the room for a bit before going to the pool in the evening for the party and fireworks show! Saturday was without a doubt the best and busiest day of Playlist Live!
Sunday morning rolled around and we got up and had to get ready for our meet ups because they were in the morning, and mine were with Charles Trippy and his wife, Allie! My bestie and our other friend went their separate ways to other meet ups, so I saw them later in the day. Meeting Charles and Allie was so nice! When I met Charles, he took the picture and then kept hitting the button on the phone camera so he took about 17 pictures until Allie had to tell him "Charles!!! What are you doing?!" Haha! He's a goof and he's so nice! It was delightful to meet him and Allie!

The rest of Sunday was quite chill, as most of the guests of the hotel staying for Playlist were getting ready to leave later that afternoon and evening. We stayed in our hotel room and watched TV and had a girls' night in and laughed until we cried about the stupidest things, but we needed it! 
So that was my experience with Playlist Live Orlando 2017! 10/10! Definitely the best experience I've had this year, hands down! Thanks for tuning into my blog!
